Some practical principles:

  • Match workout intensity to your current stress and recovery levels, as well as your schedule

  • Include nervous system regulation practices alongside physical training

  • Prioritize sleep — it's when growth hormone is released and tissue is repaired

  • Build in lower-intensity movement on high-stress days: a walk, gentle yoga, or stretching
